Save Animals Animals Index
A role-based index for the creatures you rescue, place, sell, or protect.
In Save Animals, “animals” are both collectibles and economic units. This index explains roles so you can navigate from a random cage pull to a confident pad decision.
Deep dive: animal roles
For pad decisions and trade language, read animal roles before you panic-sell a chase rare.
Role glossary
- Starter earners — teach the loop from getting started
- Core earners — fill ranch for offline income
- Chase rares — deep Zoo targets from rare animals
- Flex / Admin — showcase creatures that attract steals
- Fodder — sell for upgrade cash
Decision tree
- Identify rarity band visually.
- Check animal tier list.
- If better than your worst pad, replace.
- If duplicate low tier, sell.
- If unique rare, defend placement—steal and defend.

Naming caveat
Animal display names change with updates and events. When a creator video shows a new Admin creature, we care more about the role than a temporary string.

Teaching new players the index
When a friend joins Save Animals, send them this animals index plus getting started. Role language (earner, chase rare, fodder) prevents them from treating every creature as equally precious—and that alone saves their early economy.
Index as a trading language
Even without a formal trading market, players negotiate value with words like “flex rare” or “filler earner.” Aligning on those words reduces bad sells and bad steals. Point argue-prone friends at the animal tier list instead of shouting rarity names in chat.
Cataloging without obsession
Completionism is optional. If collecting every common burns you out, keep a lean earner set and chase uniques only. The index exists to clarify roles, not to force a Pokédex.
Naming drift across updates
When an animal is renamed or reskinned, keep the role label (earner / chase / fodder) in your notes. Names market; roles decide sells. This index exists so role language survives cosmetic churn.
Closing note
Teach newcomers earner versus fodder language early; it protects their first week economy.
